Bible Study
9:00 am Sunday
9:15 am Wednesday
7:00 pm Wednesday
There are multiple opportunities for classes to be led in structured reading of God's Word. The Sunday morning Bible study meets at 9 am on Sunday mornings before church in the sanctuary and focuses very intentionally on different books of the Bible making use of structured study material for increased ease. On Wednesday mornings at 9:15 pastor leads Bible study on a variety of topics from books of the Bible, to various theological issues. During the less busy times of the year, pastor also leads a Wednesday evening Bible study covering similar topics, but rarely are the same topics being handled on Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening at the same time.
Sunday School
9:00 am Sunday
While mom and dad spend time in Bible study on Sunday mornings their children can spend time in Sunday school learning Bible stories, making crafts, and playing games. Our Sunday school spans ages K-8th grade.
Confirmation
Weekday Mornings
7:00 pm Wednesday
Starting in 7th grade and concluding at the end of 8th grade year, confirmation classes are offered. The class is meant to help young people understand the major beliefs of the church and why we hold to them as they are derived from Scripture. While full membership in the church is the end expectation and a willingness to step into a new-found responsibility. The class is open to child in that age range who is interested in understanding more what we believe.
Youth Group
Second Sunday of each month at
6:00 pm
Starting at the beginning of 8th grade and going through the end of high school we have a youth group that meets regularly – to spend time in God’s Word, have fun hanging out, and help out at different fellowship events. This last one serves to help the youth raise money to go on fun trips most notably the LCMS National Youth Gathering held every 3 years. At the NYG 20,000+ youth not including chaperones. It is one of the biggest and most impactful opportunities for faith development that most teenagers will experience.
Parent Teacher League
This group meets quarterly to plan future events.
In addition to the School Board which is congregationally elected. The PTL is open to all parents of students and serves to both support the school and teachers, as well as provide fun opportunities for fellowship outside of school hours.
Dartball
Monday at 7:00 pm during fall and winter
A staple of Wisconsin churches, or so one may be led to believe, dartball is just what its name implies darts and a baseball field. As long as the board is a 5x5 foot approximation of a baseball field, with strikes, balls, outs, bases and even an elusive home run spot. The darts are thrown underhand from about 10 feet, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Dartball season goes through the winter months and also includes time for a meal in the midst of the evening for fellowship.
LWML
2nd Thursday of
each month
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League meets monthly to spend directed time in God’s Word, enjoy one another’s fellowship, and work toward mission opportunities locally, nationally, and globally.
Quilters
Tuesday afternoons January thru March.
The quilters spend time making quilts to sell with the proceeds going toward a charity of choice. Quilting experience is not necessary to join the quilters, but young sewers need to be supervised by an adult member.
